Group-3

The people who make OneIT one of a kind

Since the turn of the millennium, OneIT has grown in number and strength, gaining experience and expertise delivering a broad spectrum of business-critical software solutions for an equally diverse portfolio of medium to large-sized Australian businesses. We owe that success to some pretty incredible IT professionals, who come together as OneIT.

Dave-7

David Barton, Managing Director

David’s formative years were focused on the financial sector, defining and refining his expertise in software development, business analysis and online marketing with the likes of Toyota Finance, RAC Insurance, RAC Finance, Norwich Navigator, Deutsche Bank, Sun Life Insurance and Commonwealth Bank.

From that solid platform, David has diversified to encompass manufacturing, retail, mining, construction and business services. But not far beneath that professional exterior lies a diehard young-at-heart who loves spending time with his kids, is planning a three month Moroccan desert trek, gets excited about new Android phones and has a dream to one day build and fly his own remote control aeroplane.

John-2

John Williams, Senior Software Engineer

With broad experience in developing platforms and an equally diverse industry knowledge, John's learned to appreciate the value of clear communication to ensure accurate analysis and interpretation of user requirements. And after applying that philosophy to high-profile projects working for the likes of RAC Finance, Colonial First State and Westpac, John brought his expertise to OneIT in 2000.

When he's out of the office he enjoys spending time with his young family, camping and hiking.

Yati-1

Yati Hong, Project Manager

With a double degree in Computer Systems Engineering (Hons) and Computer Science tucked under her belt, Yati started her working life as a software engineer in 2005 for OneIT. She earned her wings when she became a Certified Project Manager Professional with the PMI, taking the role of Development Team Manager in 2009 and, one year later, stepping up to Project Manager, assuming responsibility for planning and managing delivery of business system solutions and associated application technical support services.

That said, Yati is still very much a home bird at heart. She finds great comfort in her mother’s hugs and loves spending time with (and terrorising) her ragdoll cat, Charlie.

Shanaka-2

Shanaka Bandara, Project Manager

Shanaka fits the role of senior geek like a glove. His list of skills and commercial experience reads like a piece of perfectly-crafted code, including Java/J2EE enterprise application development and integration, Servlets, JMS, JAXP, JDBC, JNDI, JavaMail & JTA, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, PostgreSQL RDBMS, SOAP Web Services, XML, SAX, DOM, HTML, DHTML, CSS and more. In short, he delivers the full software development lifecycle with finesse, from requirement gathering and verification, to solution designing, system development and customer support.

Yes, he’s a science fiction fanatic, but he also loves escaping to the real world, exploring areas of natural beauty and indulging in exotic cuisines.

Jonathan-4

Jonathan Chua, Project Manager

Jonathan took on a one-year part-time internship at OneIT while he completed his Computer Science Degree at the University of Western Australia (UWA). But he’s no shy debutant. Jonathan was on the UWA team for the ACM ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Competition) and has also acted as a web administrator consultant for a fitness firm. We now get to see Jonathan in the office every day as he is officially a full time employee at OneIT!

Our young programmer always dreamed of being a photojournalist for National Geographic, and he still dabbles with his DSLR. He recently swapped kendo (Japanese fencing) for a tennis racket, and is hoping to drop the kilos he’s gained through his other hobby, eating. Tennis seems to be paying off Jonathan.....!

Helen-3

Helen Plange, Corporate Services Manager

Helen’s head for financial account management, marketing and business development has been gained over 15 years across a broad spectrum of industry sectors, from FMCG and retail to mining, government and professional services. Prior to running her own marketing consultancy firm, her work for some of Australia’s biggest multinationals took her all over Australia, but having grown up in country WA her heart belongs to Perth and her South West homeland.

Helen has a love for animals, travel and the great outdoors, which she enjoys sharing with her husband and children. She also loves indulging in her passion for interior design.
